Research & Development
The Didiall, Inc. company has developed new innovative anticoagulant drug on its own cost during last year. The results of these activities are as follows:
- Target protein has been selected. This protein is a target for next-generation anticoagulants.
- The company has bought necessary equipment and reagents to measure biological activity of chemical compounds and potential anticoagulants «in vitro» and its specialists have acquired a skills of measuring procedures.
- The synthesis scheme has been determined considering its cost and practicability for certain protein and potential drug. Numerical calculations have been done based on that scheme.
- New class of patent-clear chemical compounds, i.e. potential anticoagulant drugs has been developed.
- The Company has developed method of potential anticoagulant drug synthesis.
- Some compounds from potential anticoagulants drug class have been synthesized.
- Biological activity of synthesized potential anticoagulant drugs has been measured «in vitro». Activity was found to be equal 0.095nM for compound DD175, fig. 1. It is like up-to-date substances, potential anticoagulant drug of next generation.
- Biological activity of compound DD175 has been measured for human blood. Activity was found to be equal PT2 = 3 mkM for compound DD175. It is like up-to-date substances, potential anticoagulant drug of next generation.
- Acute toxicity has been detected for DD175 on rats. It appeared to be enough for further development of the compound as a medicine. Lethal doze for rats was LD50>100 mg per kilo of live weight.
- At the moment the company is preparing to experiments on animals and caring out negotiations with organizations that perform clinical testing.
